In the name of God Amen I John Earle the elder of Roak in the pish of Odiham in the

County of South. yeoman beinge in good health of body and of sounde and perfect

mind and memory thanks be therefore given to Allmighty God doe make and ordaine

this my last will and Testamt in manner and forme followinge Impris I give and

bequeath my soule into the hands of my Creator who said I am the resurrection and the

life and in him and through him and by him I beleeve that though my body for a time be

rested in earth yet in due time both soule and body shall enjoy eternall felicity. I know

that my Redeemer liveth and that on the day of my resurrection I shall see my Savior in

my troth. This is my hope. For my funerall I leave it to my Executors theereinafter

named. And as for such disposal of estate whereinth my Creator hath blessed me I

despose of the same as follows Item I give and bequeath unto my daughter Anne

Barnard the wife of John Barnard of Crondall in the County aforesaid husbandman the

sum of Eighteen pounds of lawfull mony of England to be paid by my Executors

heereinafter so named within one year next after my decease. Item I give and bequeath

unto my Grandson William Barnard being the sonne of the said John Barnard the sum

of forty shillings of lawfull mony of England to be paid unto him within six months after

my decease by my Executors heereinafter named. Item I give and bequeath unto my

Grandchildren John Barnard Thomas Barnard Anne Barnard Edward Barnard George

Barnard Peter Barnard Mary Barnard and Elizabeth Barnard the sum of ten shillings a

peece to be paid to each and every one of them within six months also next after my

decease. Item I give and bequeath unto my daughter Mary Searle the wife of Robert

Searle of Winchfield in the said County of South. husbandman the sum of Seaventeen

pounds of like lawfull mony of England legacy to be paid unto her by my Executors

within twelve months next after my decease. Item I give and bequeath unto my

Grandaughter Mary Searle the sume of tenne shillings of lawfull mony of England to be

paid also by my Executors within six months next after my decease. Item I give and

bequeath unto John Earle William Earle and Sarah Earle the sonnes and daughter of

my said sonne John Earle ten shillings a peece of lawfull mony of England to be paid

within six monthes alsoe after my decease. Item I heereby give and bequeath unto

William Susan Barbara Mary and Elizabeth the son and daughters of my son William

Earle tenne shillings a peece to be paid unto each of them within six months alsoe next

after my decease And wherever I have formerly and already given paid and delivered

to my said sonne John Earle in mony or monyes worth the value or worth of One

hundred and three pounds whereof I doe now hereby give and bequeath to my said son

John only one shillinge And whereby my said sonne William Earle hath already had and

received of me the sume of Seven score and nine pounds and tenne shillings of lawfull

mony of England It is now my will and meaninge that my said sonne William his Extors

and adtors shall have (when my debts wch I do duly owe or shall at the time of my

decease and the Legacys heerein by me given and bequeathed are paid and the

charges of my funerall and the ?expenses of this my will are discharged) out of my

personall estate with his two brothers my two sons Edmund Earle and Thomas Earle an

equal share in part of my said estate wch shall remain to my said sonne William

allowing the Seven score and nine pounds and tenne shillings he hath already had to

goe for pte of his share and apportion thereof. And I do hereby make and ordaine my

said two sonnes Edmund Earle and Thomas Earle Executors of this my last will and

Testamt. And I doe heereby Revoake disannll and make voyd all former wills by me

made. In witness wheereof I have heereunto sett my hand and Seale this One and

twentieth day of December Anno dmi 1689
